Cardinal - of prime importance, principle, pivotal
Examples:
That was the cardinal point of his proposal everything else hinge on it.
His cardinal rule is what goes around comes around.

Figment – invention of the mind, something imagined, myth.
Examples:
The science fiction story was the figment of a fertile mind.
Mickey Mouse was profitable figment of Walt Disney’s imagination.

Muse – to consider thoughtfully, ponder, reflect.
Example:
Let’s muse over this idea before we act on it.
Susan muse peacefully after she heard about the successful merger.

Negligible – so small or unimportant that one may disregard it, minor, of little account.
Example:
The moisture in hot desert air is negligible.
Since you have so little investment your risk is negligible.

Reproach – to blame for something wrong, express disapproval.
Example:
Larry’s performance on the project was above reproach.
Lydia reproach John for ignoring her during football season.
